'A New Year, Again' / 7.5x10, Acrylagouache on watercolor paper.
At the beginning of a new year, people traditionally - myself included in the past - make new plans and goals for themselves. Feeling pressured to improve and change from where they are currently at. Improvement and growth should be something that just happens. It's great to strive for more and set goals for yourself, pushing yourself to new places. I try to do this as much as I can. This year, I'm not going to force myself to make unforeseen goals, or try to plan the year out before it's barely even started. With that in mind, I welcome the new year with thanks and appreciation for the past years, and everything that I have gained and experienced up until this point. 2014 brought big changes, changes that were needed, and I feel lucky for where I'm at and where I'm going. It brought new friends, great support, and awesome opportunities. I'm excited for this new year, and can't wait to see where it will take me. Happy Year of the Sheep!
